The flight of the Bombyx mori butterfly becomes the flight of small sun powered airplanes, thus to support sustainable development and enable connections between the cities along the silk road ,encouraging , like this, commercial as well as cultural exchange. Project’s aim is to insert little airports, either based on already existing buildings out of use, or on new small buildings following traditional local typologies, renewing, this way, the idea of caravanserai as a place for break, refreshment, supply and exchange. Railway for big carriage, as well as oil and gas pipelines, will run underground, thus to avoid interruptions in the landscape continuity. Environment will be like this preserved and renewable energies will be exploited by the installation of green technologies.
