| The LIGHT ROAD project has a diameter of 250 meters and a height of 400 meters, on two levels. The first level (the main part) is the Obelisk, a tall conic structure made of steel, with a beacon on top. Within the Obelisk there are three structures which, thanks to the structural elements forming the building, interconnect with each other. The base is decorated by grass shapes recollecting the Mandala. The second level comprises a multi-purpose Buffer, made up of two rings whose structure evokes Marco Polo’s Golden Key. Here we can find two large buildings and ornamental shrubs. Glass, steel, and concrete create structural elements which are flexible and apparently light. Every single detail focuses above all on the quality of life, and in particular on the creation of a community of people living and working together, with a strong feeling that they belong to the place. |
